Widespread significant river flooding continues in western and
southern Indiana.  Flooding is expected to last into the third week
of May.

Much of central and southern Indiana received 2 to slightly more than
4 inches of rain Wednesday through Friday last week.  Rainfall totals
topped 8 inches since April 28 at a few sites in central Indiana and
more than 14 inches in select areas of southwest Indiana.

Late Sunday evening there was a broad crest along the Wabash
River from about Covington to Terre Haute, on the White River between
Elliston and Newberry, and on the East Fork White River downstream of
Seymour. Flood crests for much of central, western and
southwest Indiana and southeast Illinois have been or will be the
highest since April 2013.

Flooding is affecting numerous roads, agricultural fields,
parks and camping ground, a few residential areas, and possibly

Upcoming rainfall this week is expected to not have an impact on
area rivers.
